These are four pieces of Celtic Ringmoney with an Irish provenance.

Celtic Ringmoney occurs in various forms across most of the Celtic regions of North Western Europe. They occur in gold plated and solid gold versions and with either plain or twisted surfaces.

As Ringmoney from England and Northern France is quite common having a proper provenance is critical for Irish pieces.

Condition is not as much of a factor in the value of Ringmoney as it is in most other Irish numismatic items. As each piece is different the critical factors are type, style and size.

These pieces were offered for sale in Spink's 1970 'Green List' issue of the Numismatic Circular. The 'Green List' issue include many of the coins that Patrick Finn and Anthony Dowle had assembled in preparing their 1970 catalogue of Irish coins.
