This coin is an Irish Florin (Two Shilling Piece) struck in the Royal Mint and issued in 1934.

1934 is the scarcest of the Irish Free State Florins issued between 1928 and 1937. It has a similar mintage at 150,000 to the 1937 issue, but 1934 is a substantially scarcer date in better grades. It is relatively common in worn grades (as are all the Free State dates).

This example is in Good Extremely Fine (GEF) condition. It has only the lightest signs of circulation on the pectoral and pelvic fins, and on the bow of the harp. Examples in this condition are quite scarce and examples in fully lustrous uncirculated condition are rare.
